Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be there when Hasti Skips driver delivers or removes the skip?
Generally we do not require you to be present upon delivery/removal, as long as we can access the drop location. You may like to be there so you can show the driver where you would like the skip, especially if you have limited space or something is in the way. If the driver can not get the skip into the location you request, they can communicate the best location for it.
How do I know what size skip I will need?
Upon inquiry we can discuss the details of your project and advise on the best skip for your needs. You may also like to refer to our home page, where we have listed the different size skips and compared their capacity to wheelie bins and box trailers. These are approximations but may help you make a decision on the size of the bin you will require.
I am concerned there might be access issues with my property. How high/wide are the trucks that deliver the skips?
Most of the trucks are just under 3m wide and 3.5m high. If you have concerns about access to your property call us on (02) 6687 0449 to discuss options and to ensure we send out a suitable truck.
The ground is very soft from the rain will you still be able to deliver/remove a skip?
We may not be able to deliver/remove skips if the truck will need to drive over soft ground. We do not want to damage your lawn and get our trucks bogged. If you have arranged for a service and it rains heavily in the time leading up to the delivery, we would appreciate you letting us know if the ground is too wet for the service to go ahead.
I have Fibro to get rid of which is/may be Asbestos. Can I put it in a skip?
If you have Fibro to dispose of you must have asbestos testing conducted on it before putting it into a skip. If it is not asbestos, we will require a copy of the clearance certificate.
If it is asbestos we can still take it however it will need to be properly wrapped and not mixed with other waste types. Call us now on (02) 6687 0449 or see our waste types for specific requirement when disposing of asbestos. You must advise on booking if you wish to use a skip for asbestos disposal.
